Application and Product Selection
A bolted tapping saddle fits around the main pipe to create a threaded branch. Match the saddle body to the main pipe outside diameter and the outlet thread to the connected equipment.

For an irrigation branch from a main pipe, select the saddle body size separately from the outlet connection. Single or double outlet and bolted or clip-on model distinctions affect the layout. Describe access around the pipe, outlet directions and the equipment to be connected together.

Check pipe outside diameter, outlet thread and the catalogue outlet count together. For a double-outlet record, verify each outlet separately. Should a saddle be selected by internal or outside diameter?
The body surrounding the pipe is selected by main-pipe outside diameter. Choose the outlet thread separately.
Can a bolted saddle be installed on a pressurised line?

How do I choose the size?
Measure the PE pipe outside diameter. Identify any threaded connection separately. Do not confuse a pipe OD in millimetres with a thread size in inches; check both ends and any third outlet.

Specify the product code, series, connection sizes and quantity. Add the application, operating conditions and delivery address when requesting a written quote.
What should I check before installation?
The pipe end should be square-cut, clean and undamaged. Check seals and gripping components against the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not dismantle a pressurised system; arrange an appropriate leak check after assembly.
