PP Threaded Coupling
A PP coupling with female threads at both ends, joining two male-threaded connections in a straight line. The two inch sizes identify the nominal threads; this is not a compression coupling for plain PE pipe.

PP threaded couplings, elbows, nipples, tees, reducers, plugs and hose tails perform different functions. Their inch designations describe nominal thread sizes; they must not be read as PE-pipe outside diameters or measured hose bores.
Select the shape and end configuration together
A coupling is considered for a straight threaded joint, a nipple for a male-threaded transition, an elbow for a turn and a tee for a branch. A reducer connects different nominal sizes, so record each end separately. Select a plug against the thread size and type of the port being closed.
A hose tail has two distinct interfaces
The threaded end connects to equipment, while the tail connects to the hose. Check the hose’s actual inside diameter and suitable clamping arrangement separately from the thread standard. The same “1″” label does not establish that both interfaces fit every product.
Achieve sealing through compatibility
Keep threads clean and undamaged; do not force a crossed or resistant joint. Select tape or other sealing material according to the plastic component instructions. Do not apply an undocumented universal turn count or tightening torque; confirm operating conditions and assembly requirements for the selected model.

- For a hose tail, also check tail dimensions against the actual hose bore.
