Dimensions and product codes

Dimensions marked with a double quote are in inches, not millimetres. Confirm the thread orientation and standard of each connection separately.

Pieces per bag reflects the catalogue packing quantity, not a minimum order quantity. Confirm your order quantity and packing format when requesting a quote.

Application and Product Selection

A PP nipple connects female-threaded components. Check the thread size at each end, mating thread standards and the required connection spacing together.

Define the connection before ordering

Reading the size
Consider a nipple when connecting two female-threaded parts. Confirm the nominal size and thread standard on both sides.
Matching and layout
Do not assume the nipple will support the weight of the connected equipment. Plan alignment and suitable support before assembly.
An example from the catalogue
Product code: FIN2012012000 · Size: 1/2"x1/2"

This example identifies one catalogue row; use the code for your required size and state the quantity in your enquiry.

Assembly and Installation Planning

Do not force the nipple into a misaligned connection. Keep threads undamaged and the assembly free of strain; follow the fitting instructions for tightening and sealing.

Bulk Orders and Quotation Details

Ertunç Plastik accepts bulk-order enquiries. Send the product code, size, quantity and delivery destination together.

Provide both end sizes, mating components and nipple quantity.

Stock, packaging, delivery and commercial terms are confirmed in the written quotation. For mixed sizes, list each code on a separate line.

PP Threaded Nipple: application and model selection

A PP nipple connects female-threaded components.

When joining two female-threaded line components, check both nipple threads and the space between the components. A coupling and a nipple can address a straight-line connection while requiring different mating parts. Show thread directions and nominal sizes clearly in the order sketch.

Read the catalogue size and series context

Check the thread orientation, nominal size and mating part at each end separately. Actual catalogue records for this model include 1/2"×1/2", 1 1/2"×1 1/2", 3"×3". Read the complete size expression alongside the series identity; do not transfer the size range of another similarly named model to this one.

Product code, packaging and piece quotation

Use “the selected row's product code / the selected catalogue size” and requested pieces on each quotation line. Catalogue pack quantity is separate from requested quantity or minimum order. Confirm current piece price, stock, packaging and delivery in writing.

What should be confirmed before installation?

Confirm the conveyed fluid, temperature, operating and surge pressure, pipe or hose class and connection form against information for the selected product. A series name, appearance or another component's data does not establish suitability of the whole installation. Use the relevant instructions for tightening and sealing methods.

Frequently asked questions

6 questions and answers covering size, use, technical checks and quotations.

What is the difference between a nipple and a threaded coupling?

A nipple uses male-threaded ends to join female-threaded parts. A coupling has a different arrangement; select according to the required male and female connections.

Can a nipple be used as an extension in any location?

Assess spacing, thread standard, fluid and operating conditions. A matching inch size alone does not establish suitability.

How do I choose the size?

Sizes marked with a double quote are nominal thread sizes. Check whether each connection is male or female, verify the thread standard and confirm the mating component uses the same standard. The nominal inch size is not a direct conversion of the measured thread outside diameter.

How do I verify the pressure and temperature suitability?

Do not assign PN16 to this range based on the name of another series. Provide the product code, fluid, operating temperature and required pressure conditions; confirm suitability with a technical data sheet and written quote.

What information is needed for an order?

Specify the product code, series, connection sizes and quantity. Add the application, operating conditions and delivery address when requesting a written quote.

What should I check before installation?

Check that the threads are clean and undamaged and that male/female orientation and thread standards match. Verify the sealing material and tightening method in the product instructions. Do not dismantle a pressurised line.
