PP Reducing Bush

Download product sheet (PDF)

A PP reducing bush for joining different nominal thread sizes. Match its male and female threaded sides to the mating components; these dimensions are not PE pipe outside diameters.

Dimensions and product codes

Dimensions marked with a double quote are in inches, not millimetres. Confirm the thread orientation and standard of each connection separately.

Pieces per bag reflects the catalogue packing quantity, not a minimum order quantity. Confirm your order quantity and packing format when requesting a quote.

Application and Product Selection

A PP threaded reducer transitions between different nominal thread sizes. Check the larger and smaller sizes, and verify the male/female arrangement against the mating components.

Define the connection before ordering

Reading the size
Select a threaded fitting by the mating nominal thread size, not the pipe’s outside diameter. Check the number and orientation of male and female ends.
Matching and layout
Confirm the thread standard even when two connections carry the same inch designation. Include both sizes for a reducer and the third outlet for a tee.
An example from the catalogue
Product code: FIR2034012000 · Size: 3/4"x1/2"

This example identifies one catalogue row; use the code for your required size and state the quantity in your enquiry.

Assembly and Installation Planning

Thread standards and sealing methods must suit both connections. Assess the flow requirement when reducing the passage; the fitting is not a pressure booster.

Bulk Orders and Quotation Details

Ertunç Plastik accepts bulk-order enquiries. Send the product code, size, quantity and delivery destination together.

Send larger × smaller thread sizes, connection arrangement and quantity.

Stock, packaging, delivery and commercial terms are confirmed in the written quotation. For mixed sizes, list each code on a separate line.

PP Reducing Bush: application and model selection

A PP threaded reducer transitions between different nominal thread sizes.

Where a line or equipment connection needs a transition between sizes, identify the larger and smaller sides first. Choosing a reducer is different from choosing an equal coupling. Compare the actual components without treating threaded model sizes and PE compression sizes as interchangeable fields.

Read the catalogue size and series context

Record the larger and smaller connection sizes and types separately. Do not treat a reducer as the same selection as an equal coupling. Actual catalogue records for this model include 3/4"×1/2", 1 1/2"×1 1/4", 3"×2 1/2". Read the complete size expression alongside the series identity; do not transfer the size range of another similarly named model to this one.

Product code, packaging and piece quotation

Use “the selected row's product code / the selected catalogue size” and requested pieces on each quotation line. Catalogue pack quantity is separate from requested quantity or minimum order. Confirm current piece price, stock, packaging and delivery in writing.

What should be confirmed before installation?

Confirm the conveyed fluid, temperature, operating and surge pressure, pipe or hose class and connection form against information for the selected product. A series name, appearance or another component's data does not establish suitability of the whole installation. Use the relevant instructions for tightening and sealing methods.

Frequently asked questions

6 questions and answers covering size, use, technical checks and quotations.

Is a threaded reducer the same as a PE reducing coupling?

No. This family connects threads, while PE reducing couplings are selected by pipe outside diameters. Check both the unit and connection type.

Can I order using only the larger size?

The smaller end is also required. Listing both thread sizes beside the code reduces the risk of an incorrect item.

How do I choose the size?

Sizes marked with a double quote are nominal thread sizes. Check whether each connection is male or female, verify the thread standard and confirm the mating component uses the same standard. The nominal inch size is not a direct conversion of the measured thread outside diameter.

How do I verify the pressure and temperature suitability?

Do not assign PN16 to this range based on the name of another series. Provide the product code, fluid, operating temperature and required pressure conditions; confirm suitability with a technical data sheet and written quote.

What information is needed for an order?

Specify the product code, series, connection sizes and quantity. Add the application, operating conditions and delivery address when requesting a written quote.

What should I check before installation?

Check that the threads are clean and undamaged and that male/female orientation and thread standards match. Verify the sealing material and tightening method in the product instructions. Do not dismantle a pressurised line.
