Application and Product Selection
Choose an equal coupling to join two PE pipes of the same outside diameter in a straight run. Measure both pipes. If their diameters differ, use a correctly sized reducing coupling.
Select from the New PN16 Series dimensions in this page’s product-code table. Do not assume another series offers the same size range.
Define the connection before ordering
- Reading the size
- Both pipe ends must have the same outside diameter. The two numbers describe the two connecting pipes; a bore measurement cannot replace the OD.
- Matching and layout
- Choose a coupling for a straight, equal-size joint and a reducer for a size change. If the repair needs a fitting that slides along the pipe, specify that requirement separately.

Assembly and Installation Planning
Align the pipe ends before assembly; do not use the coupling to force a misaligned run into place. Follow the product instructions for cutting, cleaning, insertion and tightening.

Choose an equal coupling to join two PE pipes of the same outside diameter in a straight run.
For extending a straight PE pipe line or joining two sections, select the coupling against both pipes. The existing component's name alone is insufficient. Keep the series, both pipe outside diameters and the accessible installation space together when preparing the order record.
Read the catalogue size and series context
Measure both pipe outside diameters separately. Do not choose an equal coupling from only one side’s measurement. Actual catalogue records for this model include 20×20, 25×25, 32×32. Read the complete size expression alongside the series identity; do not transfer the size range of another similarly named model to this one.
Product code, packaging and piece quotation
Use “the selected row's product code / the selected catalogue size” and requested pieces on each quotation line. Catalogue pack quantity is separate from requested quantity or minimum order. Confirm current piece price, stock, packaging and delivery in writing.
What should be confirmed before installation?
Confirm the conveyed fluid, temperature, operating and surge pressure, pipe or hose class and connection form against information for the selected product. A series name, appearance or another component's data does not establish suitability of the whole installation. Use the relevant instructions for tightening and sealing methods.

What is the difference between an equal and a reducing coupling?
An equal coupling joins matching diameters; a reducing coupling joins different diameters. Adding packing to a seal does not correct a size mismatch.
Can a pipe slide all the way through the coupling?
The internal stop and passage depend on the model. Specify if you need a slip repair coupling; do not assume an equal coupling has that feature.
How do I choose the size?
Measure the outside diameter of both PE pipes separately in millimetres. For an equal coupling, both pipes must have the same outside diameter and match the selected product code.
Does PN16 mean 16 bar under every condition?
The PN16 designation alone does not establish the operating pressure of the entire system. Verify the manufacturer’s data for fluid, temperature, pipe class, surge pressure and installation conditions.
What information is needed for an order?
Specify the product code, series, connection sizes and quantity. Add the application, operating conditions and delivery address when requesting a written quote.
What should I check before installation?
The pipe end should be square-cut, clean and undamaged. Check seals and gripping components against the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not dismantle a pressurised system; arrange an appropriate leak check after assembly.
