A threaded ball valve is selected to open or shut off flow in a threaded line. Check thread size and standard, fluid, operating conditions and clearance for the handle.
Define the connection before ordering
- Reading the size
- Check handle clearance as well as the line connections. A threaded valve and a compression-connected valve need different mating-size information.
- Matching and layout
- Isolation and precise flow regulation are different duties. Include the required control function, fluid and operating conditions in the quotation request.

Do not pull or twist the pipework to fit the valve. Leave access for the handle’s full movement and check the valve and surrounding joints according to the installation instructions.

A threaded ball valve is selected to open or shut off flow in a threaded line.
When planning an on-off point in an irrigation or service line, select the connection form alongside valve size. A compression valve is assessed against the pipes, while a threaded ball valve is assessed against mating threads. Handle movement and access for maintenance belong in the layout description.
Read the catalogue size and series context
Check the connection type and size at each end. Do not treat a compression pipe size as the same field as a nominal thread size. Actual catalogue records for this model include 1/2"×1/2", 1 1/4"×1 1/4", 2 1/2"×2 1/2". Read the complete size expression alongside the series identity; do not transfer the size range of another similarly named model to this one.
Product code, packaging and piece quotation
Use “the selected row's product code / the selected catalogue size” and requested pieces on each quotation line. Catalogue pack quantity is separate from requested quantity or minimum order. Confirm current piece price, stock, packaging and delivery in writing.
What should be confirmed before installation?
Confirm the conveyed fluid, temperature, operating and surge pressure, pipe or hose class and connection form against information for the selected product. A series name, appearance or another component's data does not establish suitability of the whole installation. Use the relevant instructions for tightening and sealing methods.

Should a ball valve be selected for flow regulation?
This page describes shut-off duty. If continuous throttling or precise regulation is required, verify the product’s suitability for that duty separately.
Can it replace any valve with the same thread size?
No. Body length, thread standard, fluid and operating conditions must also match; size alone does not establish equivalence.
How do I choose the size?
Measure the PE pipe outside diameter. Identify any threaded connection separately. Do not confuse a pipe OD in millimetres with a thread size in inches; check both ends and any third outlet.
What information is needed for an order?
Specify the product code, series, connection sizes and quantity. Add the application, operating conditions and delivery address when requesting a written quote.
What should I check before installation?
The pipe end should be square-cut, clean and undamaged. Check seals and gripping components against the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not dismantle a pressurised system; arrange an appropriate leak check after assembly.
